The Watchman

I know a man who lived out humbled ways,
Bolder still than any man alive,
I know a man who lived and died to raise,
A child not his own.

I know a man who gave up everything,
To save a stranger's life,
I know a man who let his dreams decay,
To live a life of not.

I know a few of the growing grey,
That you would surely call,
Beggar, Fool, and Prude, you are
so worried about every other eye but mine.
